This Week...

This week is going to be havoc on my writing schedule. My non-fiction book proposal is going to be hit and miss as we go through the final death throes of moving. Today, we spent all day window shopping, and we have another stack of papers to sign, notarize and send off. Savoy magazine still owes me money from an article I wrote (Thanks Savoy!) and the house is being fumigated on Thursday. Slowly but surely, we are boxing up everything in the house and Goodwilling anything we don't need anymore.

Manchester United is off to a 2-0 start, football is almost here. Life is good.

What time of day do you write best? Hopefully things will return to normal quickly and you will be back to your routine. I am realizing now that Writers must be flexible in order to complete their projects. Wow.

Good Luck!

I used to write exclusively from around 8pm to 3am. The house was quiet, my wife was either watching television or nodding off, and my son Langston was in bed. I started writing my own material during those hours because between 1995-2000, I was a reporter, so my 9-5 represented work writing, and 8-3am represented my own writing. However today, I can pretty much write any time of the day. What I must always have is a daily writing goal. As long as I keep to that goal, I'm pretty straight.
